Mercedes AMG has unveiled an updated version of the 2024 Mercedes AMG GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe for the European market, with several notable enhancements. The 2024 GT63 S E Performance now boasts a refreshed front-end design inspired by the new AMG GT Coupe, featuring a sleeker and more narrow lower grille, which replaces the previous larger outboard intakes with stylish vertical slits. The revamped grille is taller and incorporates additional black trim along the lower section. Complementing this fresh exterior look are the Multibeam LED main headlights.

Inside, while the changes are relatively minor, Mercedes has made the electric sunroof and a wireless charging pad between the rear seats standard features. Furthermore, the MBUX infotainment software has been updated to include AMG-specific displays that can be individually configured. The standard audio system is now the Burmester Surround Sound System, with an optional upgrade to the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System.

Under the hood, the GT63 S E Performance retains its impressive twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, delivering a formidable 831 horsepower and 1,033 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant is mated to the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G nine-speed transmission and the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system. It allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 196 mph. To handle this power, the car features AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes, active rear-axle steering, and an AMG Ride Control+ suspension with adaptive damping.

Mercedes now offers a new exterior color option called Opalite White Metallic for the GT63 S E Performance. However, the wheel and upholstery choices remain unchanged. Pricing for the updated model starts at 207,708.55 euros in Germany, including VAT. There are various optional packages available, including the AMG Performance seats, the AMG Aerodynamics package, two AMG Night packages, the AMG Carbon package, and the AMG Chrome package. Additionally, customers can opt for the Active Multicontour Seat package and choose the Manufaktur Selenite Grey Magno paint.

In summary, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe has received a facelift with a more stylish front-end design, interior upgrades, and a new exterior color option. It continues to be powered by the impressive plug-in hybrid V8 engine, offering exceptional performance and handling. Mercedes enthusiasts in Europe can now enjoy these enhancements as the model goes on sale.
